A Lonely Lady

A lonely lady
Standing by the window
Watching the world go by
Spring, autumn, sunsets and rainbows

Natural beauty all around
Summer, winter, sunshine and deep snows
Winds moan, birds sing - nature's sound abound

Colours, sounds and lovely perfumes
Surround us every day
Flowers, birdsong and crashing waves
Fascinate in every way

There is still a hole in my soul
Waiting for my real love to come to me
Amidst the beauty throughout the land

I yearn to run through forest glades
Where primroses and bluebells grow
The smell of the trees and flowers
And the birds breaking out into a song

I yearn to run through the meadows
And dip my feet into the babbling brook
To refresh and clean my hot dirty feet
Amidst the sweet music of gushing waters

With my real love at my side
Wind blowing through my hair
And feeling like spirit in the air

I still believe in love
Like the opening petals of a flower
Like blossoms on the trees

Gifts of mirth and laughter
Kindness, friendship, life hereafter
These radiant rays of inward light
Seem to put the world to right.
